1. The Pilgrim’s Progress Musical: Encountering the Narrow Road Anew

John Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress is more than a work of literature—it is a confession of faith, a spiritual compass that has echoed across centuries. The pilgrim’s journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City unfolds as the gospel itself: begun by grace, led by the cross, and culminating in glory.

This classic has now been transposed to the stage. Under the subtitle Standing on the Road of Faith and Hope, the production carries the audience through 20 songs and dramatic performance to reveal once again that faith is not an abstract idea but a road walked with the whole of life. Here the spectator is summoned not to remain a passive observer but to join the path as a fellow pilgrim.

2. Anointing’s 14th Album: Songs and Hearts of the Nations

After six years, Anointing’s 14th album arrives—not with familiar Western worship anthems, but with songs drawn from Israel, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, the Karen people, and the Chinese-speaking world. Its title, Songs of the Nations, Hearts of the Nations, gestures toward the vision of Revelation 7: a multitude from every tribe, tongue, and nation standing before the Lamb.

The music may sound unfamiliar, but in that very strangeness the breadth and depth of the universal church emerge. Different tongues and melodies converge into a single confession directed toward one God. Worship is always grounded in word and truth, yet it expands as it embraces the calling to all peoples.

Album Information

• Release: September 2025

• Tracks: 12 (with original language notations)

• Available: Anointing’s official YouTube channel (live worship videos, original lyric presentations, behind-the-scenes stories)

Conclusion: October’s History and Today’s Road

October has long carried memory for the church. When Luther’s 95 Theses were posted in 1517 on the Wittenberg door, they were not simply academic disputations but a cry to recover the very way of faith. That cry reshaped the church around three principles: by grace alone, by Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.

Today, the musical The Pilgrim’s Progress and Anointing’s 14th album raise the same question in fresh form: On what road are we walking? Bunyan’s pilgrim reminds us that even on the narrow and rugged path, hope leads to the Celestial City. The songs of the nations testify that God’s kingdom, already begun, will one day be consummated in fullness.

At this intersection of history and present culture, we confess anew:

“The Lord opens my path, and my song is offered with the nations to Him.”

May this confession take deeper root in our life and worship.
